DISCUSSION QUESTION CHOICE #2: Ethics : Kant's Categorical Imperative. According to Kant in the second chapter of the Metaphysic of Morals, there are some rules of morality, or personal policies of conduct, that should be followed at all times, regardless of the situation. These universal moral laws, "maxims", or moral principles guide everyone's conduct. Explore Kantian ethics by engaging in this thought experiment:
Answer the question: Is the maxim "Never Lie or Be Dishonest" a personal belief dependent on the situation, or is it a universal moral law?
Use your understanding of Kant's Metaphysic of Morals, the learning resources, your experiences and your reasoning in your argument.
