Analysis
Note: Analysis
tables should be used as your outline/i.e. section headings. All other suggestions in red are just that, suggestions to guide your discussion. All of your writing should be in narrative format i.e. a discussion that flows covering the requested information
2.1.1 Graphic version of model – if the authors don’t have one, please try to create it yourself)
Cut and Paste the actual models presented by the authors. Also, if the model presented does not contain all the variables used by the authors make an additional model with the remaining variables to include control variables. Make sure that all variables are clearly labeled and that the direction of arrows for formative 2nd order constructs are correct.
If there is NO model, create a model using the hypothesis
Finally, if there is an operationalized model that has the indicators, also add it. If this is missing create it as well.
2.1. Model (what predicts what, at the conceptual level)
Describe the model in words. Hint. Do the authors describe a simple high level model that is conceptual and only integrates major theories or constructs? Do the authors then describe a more detailed lower level that specifically identifies the variables?
2.2 Theory/ies used in the study.
Search and List all the theories used. Describe why the authors said they used the theories. Sometimes a high-level theory is discussed when there are many variables, discuss if there is a high-level theory that is used as a building block then lower level theories used to build the final set of variable relationships?
2.4. Variables’ definitions and measures. Validity and reliability of the scales.

2.7. Procedures – brief summary
How did they collect the data? Was there more than one data collection? Was there a pre-test to validate the instrument?
2.8. Data analysis strategy
For each data collection, Was the basic data assessed and or pruned? What statistics did they look at to assess the usability of the data?
What tools were used in basic data analysis i.e. for Reliability, Convergent Validity or Discriminative Validity. What tools were used for hypothesis testing – i.e. for the relationships between the variables or within the variables?
a. For group comparisons-based hypothesis, what tools and statistical tests were used. What were the results? Example ANOVA?
b. For regression, path-based hypothesis between variables, what tools and statistical tests were used. What were the results? Example Beta/Path coefficient and p=value, f square in-between variables.
3.6.1. Appropriateness of analytical procedures to model
If regression using any type of SEM, did they go through all the proper steps for the measurement model and structural model – refer to the Module 3 PowerPoint slides.
