Proyecto 3: An inspiring person/Una persona inspiradora

For your third project you’ll have to choose a person, from Spanish-speaking country, that you find inspiring or that you admire. It can be a person from your family, a friend, or someone famous, like a writer, a painter, an artist or an athlete. It doesn’t matter if they are dead or alive. Just like your first two projects, it must be written COMPLETELY in Spanish. I don’t need complicated super long sentences, your phrases can be short and simple, but they must be in Spanish. You’ll upload a Word document or a PowerPoint presentation. If you decide to include videos (strongly encouraged) you can upload the files separately or embed the links on the document or presentation. Have fun!

Parte 1. Tu persona

You’ll tell me all about the person you chose. You need to write at least 15 sentences about them, with information about where they were born, when, their family, what they do or did, if they lived in other countries, their achievements, etc. For each sentence you need to include a picture.

Parte 2. Su país

You’ll tell me all about the country the person you chose is from. You have to write at least one paragraph with information about it, like currency, location, how many people live there, the weather, etc.

You must include a map of the country and its flag.

If the person you choose is from the same country you chose for Proyecto 2, it’s ok to use, or ‘recycle’ that information.

Part 3. ¿Por qué te inspira?

Write at least two paragraphs on why this person is inspiring to you or why you admire them. Tell me all about what this person does that you admire or find inspiring and tell me how they have personally affected your life/actions/decisions.

Parte 4. Video de la persona

Find, or record, a video of the person you chose, IN SPANISH. Preferably an interview with the person themselves. If you choose a relative or a friend you can record a quick interview, or yourself talking about them, but it needs to be completely in Spanish. If you choose a famous person it’d be easy to find a video of themselves speaking in Spanish online. Embed the video or just share the link or the file with me.

Remember you need to write this all in Spanish and all by yourself. Do not use Google Translate or any other translation website. It’s totally valid, and even encouraged, to look up certain words if you don’t know them, but just words, not full phrases.

Remember you need to use proper grammar and spelling. Review all the lessons as many times as you need and ask for any extra materials that would help.
