As the sports industry grows There are more people with disabilities becoming more noticeable in today's society this curriculum is intended to teach future coaches about how to make a curriculum that is designed toward athletes and athletes with disabilities. In the world, we live in now at least fifteen percent of the population has a form of disability, two to four percentage have experienced some limit mobility and function and the numbers of these percentages are increasing. Before rights were passed for people with disabilities within the education system had an investigation done by the united states accountability offices and they found that school children with disabilities participation in any sport lower rate than of a student without a disability with the investigation being done all of the supports said that it was proof of the education system and it was historical because it provided statistics of the status of the sports and physical educations for the students with disability in the public system . 

   There have to be significant changes in the world over time with the Rights for Disability and human rights, this had led to the increase and availability of programs and services that are focused on athletes with a disability. Increased media coverage and educational opportunities people with disabilities have become more welcomed by today's society with these opportunities there will be more athletes with disability participating in sports. With this curriculum be included in every future coach agenda we can improve the way communities think about disability and how a person with a disability thinks of themselves.

     We as future coaches need top further assist in the development of sports that include People with disabilities, It’s important that professionals educated and be knowledgeable about disability with sports management .it’s give the coach experiences on how to train each athlete to their full potential and it also benefits the athlete was it gives them encouragement to push their mind and body to the fullest extent .

Literature Review

   With some barriers that people with disabilities to join in a sport we first have to educate out athletes that do not have a disability of the awareness, and how to involve them in teams. if we improve the lack of opportunities like how we can train a person with a disability we can educate the student if the limits if how they can improve their skills in whatever sport they are wanting to participate in. we can also build the athlete with a disability a training program to help with training for the sport of their chosen.

  When athletes with disability training one program I found was the (PHV) Peak Height Velocity this testing can vary from person to person, there is endurance, strength, speed, Skills, and flexibility. You must do strength training three to four times a week, you want to also include isometric training exercise and isotonic exercises along with isokinetic strength training.

   There is also circuiting training which helps children Cerebral palsy It improves their function strength, then you can have Aerobic training which includes swimming, running or a light jog. When a coach is teaching athlete with a disability the coach should start by asking questions like “What do you think your biggest obstacle is going to be with your disability” in whatever sport they are choosing to play, when asking the athlete question like that it gives the coach answer to what they need to help the athlete with, a lot of coaches believe that you have to do psychological preparation . The coach also needs to understand the challenges the disabled athlete will go through training and interacting with their environment.

  A coach that are looking to teach disabled athletes you also have to do research on the facility that you are going to have competition at so you can see if the places accommodate your athletes needs so you as the coach must be able to call up to the facility and see what they will accommodate your athletes with . Being a coach is more like selecting the best options that will accommodate your athlete you have to plan and design individual student plans and be able to identify content for educational programs for the athlete and be able to give general education settings and activities to the athlete.

   With being a coach there are three main major parts the first part would be setting priority learning outcomes for the athlete , For example let’s say your athlete is running a marathon and you are training youth athlete on breathing exercise you want the athlete to get an idea of how to breathe and be able to control . You want to start by in hauling through your nose, then you want to explain that you want to start by filling the chest cavity up first then the mid-chest cavity starts by filling your belly. you want to explain that you as the athlete would need to reverse the breathing cycle on the breathing technique. So, start by exhaling from your stomach then exhale the air from the mid-chest cavity and then the chest. Then you want to change the exhale to be through the mouth instead of on the nose.

You want to be able to ask the athlete question like does the technique make sense, then you want to have the athlete to practices the breathing technique not being physical first so they can get the feeling of the exercise and how the technique is used.

  When you are coaching you also have to be careful with using the word disabled you, the issue using different wording has been controversial when you label someone with a word that has a way of placing a person in a category. If I was to coach-athlete that has a disability you want to start by asking my athlete question like when I am coaching you do you not want me to reframe from certain words. It gives you the coach and the athlete a bonding moment to get to know each other.

Education Curriculum Content 

· The athlete will demonstrate independent learning and movement skills.

· The athlete will improve and maintain physical fitness and adjust physical levels according to the principle of exercise.

· Demonstrate independent movement skills in aerobic activities.

The athlete will be able to learn different techniques and be able to identify the styles and the correct body placement, the athlete will have to maintain physical fitness and be able to adjust to physical levels and be able to recall movements and retrain information.

· The athlete will be able to independently engage in aerobic activates 

· Athletes will be able to demonstrate learning from movement and skill in physical fitness.

· The athlete will develop month-long fitness plans.

· Develop personal long-time goals and improve on current skills.

· The athlete will be able to observe along with analyzing techniques 

· The athlete will be able to list safety equipment with all training activities and be able to be described and demonstrate such use of equipment.

· The athlete will achieve new levels of fitness and improve performance/health.

The athlete will learn how to develop a plan for a month and be able to keep track on the progress and be able to document calorie intake and calories burned, The athlete will also be able to make long-standing goals that will improve there current skill and building on what sequence they have learned. All athletes will be able to observe themself or others and be able to technicality correct movement or body posture, athletes will learn correct safety for all training equipment and be able to describe in detail each training exercises.

· The athlete will be all to evaluate changes in his/hers self-responsibility in skill levels.

Athletes will be able to set personal goals and improve each practice/game.

The athlete will be able to identify the changes and responsibly of us or his skill levels, the athlete will be able to make a daily journal of their process within each week, so the athlete will be able to keep track of progress and be able to keep paper records of their progress day by day.

all the content for the athlete to learn and see we can provide a base for the athlete to see his or her progress in whatever sport of their choosing, It also teaches the athletes about Their skill level, and how to training / teach others in a certain area. It will also teach the athlete to build goal for themself and be able to stick to the goal, What my curriculum is doing is show the athlete how to manage time , cut down on word like “I can’t” It gives the athlete the ability to want to be active Strive for new goals and be able to have a healthy outlook . The athlete will also be able to count your daily calorie intake and also be able to keep a journal of their eating regimen.

important that you have set a schedule for their exercise, diet and training to build the athletes up and also teach the athlete more about their body.

To teach athlete s that have disability’s you want to lay down some fineness goal for them to want to achieve you also want them to come up with some goals so they can want to strive to want to make achieve their goals. You also want to give the athletes and the parent a breakdown of the steps that his or her child will be going through. You want to start the athletes off slow then gradually increase their progress, You also want to ask the athlete do they understand the fitness routine and if they do not you want to break down the steps, this helps the athlete to build up their strength and stamina. 

With every routine it takes some getting used to so you want to explain to the athletes that there will be a good day and there will also be a day where they will struggle with the routine but explain to the athlete that give up is not an option but it is a choice. You want to be able to your athlete hope and confidence These are two main things I would want to in steel in my athletes because it gives the athlete a chance to understand what they are doing and how to improve. You want to also build on the athlete’s daily activity you want it to be challenging and also beneficial , you also want to teach the athletes to listen to their body because sometimes injuries happen when you ignore pain shortness of breath or even you maybe even pushing yourself too hard to understand what’s happening so it’s best to ask if you feel weird.

As the Coach should also be able to change up work out routines, let’s say you spent all day on the filed with your athlete change up the routine and change the work out a destination or even the routine itself. The coach should be able to change things up for their athletes and even makeup routine to excite the athletes, you also want to monitor their progress You also want the athletes to understand to give there body’s a break its okay to take two or one days off to recover and help the body heal.It also gives s the athletes a chase to also mentally prepare for the next activity or think about what they can do different in there next activity to improve their skills. You also want to talk to the athlete about the sleep schedule.

When you think about sleep it does not seem like much but in any activity, you have to keep your body well rest and refreshed. Study’s shows that if the body is deprived of rest the mind slows down to conserve energy so the thought process slows down, it slows your memory down and Your response time also slows down and it physicals impairs your athlete's skills. It also does not help your immune system if you are not getting enough sleep your body works overtime and it gives your body a decrease in your immune system which helps your athletes fight off bacteria , it also does not help your athletes body burn fat because their body is not well rest to help, it also affects your mood of the athletes . I also would want the parent to be a part of the athlete's training as well, you can have your athlete's parent help with exercise or even help them keep logos over the daily foods.

You as the coach should treat the athletes as a regular athlete, you and to try and focus on the athletes and what potential you as the coach can see .when a athletes with a disability joins a team they are wanting to participate the same amount of effort as a regular athlete. You also want to give the athlete with disability the chances to be leader in whatever sport they are selecting , It gives the athlete the opportunity to think like a leader and it gives you the coach an idea of how the athlete will lead the team, and also it gives them a chances to be hand-on with other athlete to explain things in a different perspective to how the team can work together . And as a future coach, it helps promote independent on a higher level it lets you athlete think outside the boxes.

You also want to seek advice from the athlete as well, even though you are the coach you want someone on the inside top give you feedback on what you can change to make the sport more enjoyable, The coach can even make a suggestion boxes to get feedback.

You as the coach can provide reasonable accommodation to your athletes that suffer from a disability and still be able to connect to the athlete one on one. You have other resources even if you as the coach do not have any clue to where to start you have the disability services that can point you I the direction to where there is an organization that can help you and your athletes out.

Future Implications 

A future coach we will be able to have a solution or create a solution with our athletes with a disability, we will be able to communicate with facilitating to also accommodate the needs for the players. The coach will be able to communicate with the athlete and the parent to better assist the athlete in the sport if there is no communication then how will you be able to plan the whole season out , with better communication you can build a report with your athlete to see what you can assist them within the sport , the coach can also be able to communicate with the administration about the accommodation your athlete is seeking in the sport if this need is not met then we as coach will have not have meet the needs of the athlete , you want to take as much stress off the athlete as you possibly can so that accommodation will not be the main concern .

As the coach should also be able to create a workout chart that can benefit your athlete in the long run, you want your athletes to have a mindset that practices cam make your skill better each day. The workout chart should be able to challenge your athlete and be able to assist your athletes in reaching their goals. If the goal if the athlete with disability are not being challenged they are not going to have any interest in the sport they are in so they are not going to put forth the effort and challenge themself , So you want to be able to change their state of mind and be able to work just as much as a regular athlete .

Conclusion

The athletes with disability’s population grows so does the need for Accommodation that need to be met, the coach should be able to assist his or her athlete with the needs that need to be met the coach also wants to take in consideration if they cannot provide a solution, how can you as the coach make things work for the athlete. It best to have Communication is the athlete that has a disability to find out what we can provide to the athlete, it’s also best to get to know them on a athlete to coach setting to find out what the athlete with disability short term and long term goals. want to explain to the athlete the routines that you are going to make them practices and you also want to explain how you are going to teach the workout routine.

want the athlete with the disability not to feel like you are making things easy for them but you are treating them as a regular athlete with no disability as the other athletes on the team , You also want to give the athlete some leadership role to give you an idea about what they are getting out of the sport as well. You the coach want to challenge your athlete that has a disability so they understand that they can do anything they want in the sport.
