It comes from the decisions you make that impact your sphere of influence when you're facing the "frontline" in your life. The frontline is a decision point to act or to avoid, to speak up or to remain silent, to help or to hinder. Leadership is a choice.*

The opportunity to apply leadership principles in our professional activities can be found in many aspects of our role within business. Opportunities could include making ethical decisions about behavior, providing difficult feedback to a boss or to a team member, supporting the development of others in a positive way, or contributing to the building of a successful team.

Considering how Marjorie Eastman characterizes the concepts of leadership and referring back to the content that was covered in the leadership unit for our class, answer the following questions.

· Identify and discuss two leadership skills that a professional in your field should have in order to be successful. Why do you think these leadership skills are necessary?

· What leadership skill will be the easiest to incorporate in your professional roles in the future? Explain why? What leadership skill will be the most challenging to incorporate in your professional roles in the future? Explain why?

Think about the challenges that might arise or additional development you believe you need to enhance as you pursue your professional goals over the next five years.

1. Describe 2 of those challenges or development areas in detail. Be specific.

2. What 2-3 professional skills would you use to navigate those challenges?

3. Write 2-3 supporting developmental goals for each professional skill identified in item 2 that will help you to continue to develop each skill over the course of the coming year.

Hint: You can use the list that was provided in the first question of this assignment to build out the skills to help you successfully navigate through the challenges that you identified.

These should be well thought out goals that will help you to grow as you graduate and enter the workforce.
