Project Charter

A project charter is the primary output from the project initiating process. It is the document that authorizes the project to proceed to the project planning process and the authorization for the project manager to use organizational resources to perform project tasks and activities. The project charter is the key source of input to the project plan.

Note: The project concept paper and the business case are both inputs to the project charter. Some elements (e.g. ,purpose of the project) of those documents can be copied into the project charter, as indicated. You will only be graded on the elements that are new.
