I placed my EC2 username and DNS info into putty as well as my keypair to start the SSH session. I next installed the sudo yum update. After that was complete I installed NGINX on the instance. I knew it installed correctly after I received a complete! The next step was to copy files from Ballotonline.biz which contained a ZIP file that needed to be decompressed. I made a directory for it and then downloaded the website files from the legacy web server. The next thing I had to do was to update the permissions to make the website files less restrictive by running another command in the session. For the 1st instance I tested to see if I could access the website, which below shows that the website was able to be accesses. I repeated all of the steps again for my second instance which shows within the screenshots below. Again, the second instance was successful and was able to show that the website was able to access the files.
