I want you to understand the purpose of SFCs. They provide a “recipe” to build a program to run a sequential operation. Even if you are not an expert on the operation, if you have a concise accurate narrative you can create a program from an SFC. This test can be very easy if you remember to keep it simple and if you use the provided info to make it REAL easy! (Also, future FYI, other programming languages can be use with SFCs.)

The final exam will consist of building a ladder program using the Sequential Chart method. The posted test document will need to be downloaded > printed > once completed, scan the filled in Sequential Function Chart template chart. Use the chart to create a ladder program and put the pages in a Word or PDF doc. You will also write, IN YOUR OWN WORDS, a process summary essay of between 500 and 1000 words describing the step processes and the various sections of the program. Your SFC lecture handouts should be adequate references for this test.
