BCO214 PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT Assignment 1 Task brief & rubrics
Task
Students are required to develop an individual report addressing the specific tasks set out in the guideline below.
Task briefing:
1) Choose a specific operations system and brand within a specific industry indicating the inputs, outputs and resources needed. (25 points)
2) Describe the main process and activities of this operations system. Identify the steps of this process and draw a flowchart. (25 points)
3) 3.1) Describe the lay-out or the physical space distribution of this process, tasks and inputs within the operations system. (15 points)
3.2) Identify the location of the different departments and warehouses and describe the process flow. (10 points)
4) Propose different measures and actions to take to enhance the productivity of this system. Justify your answer. (25 points)
Students are required to use the Harvard Referencing System. The report needs to be uploaded onto Turnitin on Moodle. The assignment hand-in will be created by the course tutor.
This task is worth 30% of your overall grade for this subject.
Formalities:
• Word document.
• Wordcount: 2500-3000 words.
• Cover, Table of Contents, References and Appendix are excluded of the total wordcount.
• Font: Arial 12,5 pts.
• Text alignment: Justified.
• The in-text References and the Bibliography have to be in Harvard’s citation style.
Submission:
Week 5– Via Moodle (Turnitin).
Deadline: 31st October 2021 at 23:59 CEST.
Weight: This task is a 30% of your total grade for this subject.
