Purpose - this first task has multiple objectives:

1. To learn about current privacy issues and perhaps discover issues, which interest you. 2. To practice seeking information on current events and issues online. 3. To practice summarizing & reporting on sources, without presenting your own opinion. 4. To practice critically evaluating the reliability and potential biases of a certain source. 5. To learn to deal with biased, partial and otherwise imperfect information.

Task Instructions: 2-4 page paper reporting and evaluating 3 sources.

• Go to news papers & privacy websites: (Websites on Privacy Issues and also big newspapers: Guardian, New York Times, and Washington post)

• Find articles portraying ways in which privacy is being compromised in contemporary society

• Chose 3 articles with issues that you find the most interesting and re-read these. • Now based on the articles write your 3 little reports: _____ Based on each article present and report on these 3 issues.
