One of the many responsibilities of the President involves issuing "executive orders."

How is an executive order different than a law? What gives the President the power to issue such orders? What sorts of things can be done by executive order?

Go to the President's website: http://www.whitehouse.gov/

Go to "Briefing Room," then "Presidential Actions."

Find an executive order issued on July 8, 2022, called "Executive Order on Protecting Access to Reproductive Healthcare Services" and second, related order called "Executive Order on Protecting Access to Reproductive and Other Healthcare Services" issued on August 3.

Write a 2 -5 page essay on these orders, making sure you cover the following topics:

● What is an executive order? ● How is an order different from a law? ● By what authority can the President issue these orders? ● Explain the issue President Biden is attempting to address with these orders,

and what you think about it. ● Do you agree or disagree with the orders?

Submit in Word. Cite your sources.
