Introduction
During this final week of the course, you will reflect upon your learning experience in the Journalism and Mass Communication program and compose an advice column to incoming freshmen. As you finish up your degree program, it is important to focus on the next steps as you embark upon your career. One of your assignments calls for you to identify a job, graduate program, or small business loan program to which you would like to apply and compile an application packet for that position or program, including an elevator speech/bio and cover letter. You will also write a Final Paper that requires you to think critically about news media organizations, the challenges they face, and strategies that must be employed for them to continue to serve consumers efficiently and effectively.
