This assignment is intended to serve as the beginning framework for your final scholarly practice change project.

Please note that during Week 1, students participated in a discussion activity in which they introduced their proposed practice change problem and identified their preliminary project topic. Building on that initial discussion, this assignment requires students to further develop the scholarly foundation of their proposed project.

Your paper should include the following components:

-PICOT Questions

· Population affected by the problem

· Proposed Intervention

· Comparison (if applicable)

· Proposed Timeline for implementation/intervention (8 weeks)

-Feasibility of the project within the selected practice setting

The purpose of this assignment is for you to:

· Identify a topic for clinical inquiry

· Develop an introduction to the selected practice problem

· Apply the components of the PICOT framework to your proposed project

· Describe the purpose and significance of the Practice Change Proposal

· Begin developing the scholarly foundation for the final DNP project proposal

Your essay should clearly explain the current clinical issue, support the need for the proposed practice change, and discuss the anticipated impact on patient care, healthcare outcomes, nursing practice, or organizational improvement.

All written work must be completed in your own words. You may include examples and evidence from scholarly literature to support your discussion. All references and citations must be properly documented using the current APA 7th Edition format.
