The purpose of this peer review is to help you understand the elements of an academic argument and how it is supported with reasoning, details, and evidence
Directions:
Read the whole essay.
15 points: Identify key features of your partner’s argument:
· What is the writer’s argument?
· What is the opposing viewpoint?
· How does the writer refute the opposition?
10 points: Identify one specific supporting point of the argument and evaluate how well it supports (or does not support) the writer’s argument and comment on the detail and researched information. (your response should be about 50 words) Be tactful if you find an error: Your information may be helpful to your peer
10 points: Choose one of the degrees from the list below to which you agree with the argument and explain why (your explanation may include the clarity, amount of detail and reasoning as well as whether you simply agree or not):

5 points: Finally, check the documentation throughout the essay (look for parenthetical citations) and comment on their correctness. If you notice an error, identify it and send it to your partner.
