Psychology: Psychotherapy Note:

Patient participated in an individual therapy session on 8/21/08 from 1430-1510. Patient was well-groomed for the session. Patient displayed an euthymic mood and congruent affect. Patient worked on treatment goal #3 during the session. Therapist reviewed with patient his anger log and what was discussed during the previous session. During the session, patient worked on rating his feelings of anger. Patient needed visual presentation in order to understand the concept. Patient had to be re-directed a few times in order to stay on task; however, once on task, patient was able to be forthcoming and genuine with is responses. Patient will be asked to rate his feelings during each session. Patient rated that his angry feelings was a 0 for today’s session. He reported that he displayed no angry feelings for the week, therefore, he had nothing to log in his angry log. Patient was asked to continue to monitor his angry feelings on the anger log. Next session will focus on patient learning about his past in order to help facilitate the progress of family therapy..
