The Event

- Accident occurred on On August 17, 2009 at 08:15

- Hydraulic unit was torn off, water gushed into engine room

- destroyed on an area of about 1200 square meters

- complete shutdown of the hydroelectric power plant

- The territory adjacent to the power plant was also under water

- more than 40 tons of engine oil spilled into the water area of the Yenisei River.

- At 09:20 the flow of water into the turbine hall was stopped

Recovery

- 115 people and 21 pieces of equipment were involved in initial recovery

- At 11:40 the gates of the spillway dam were opened and the balance of flow through the hydroelectric complex was restored

- localization of an oil slick on the Yenisei

- 20 rescuers, as well as special equipment and a task force of four people came to help

- Debris has been sorted out, and the power supply scheme is being restored.
