Unit 6. Unit 4-8 Assessment Introduction:

Now, it is time to start practical application of project management techniques. In many courses, you may have been given a case study to dissect, and address section by section. However, assigning a specific case study focused on a specific business will inevitably confine students in trying to “think outside the box”. Creativity disappears. Project management demands process and practice. So let’s begin the learning process here. You are to select a project that you would like to develop. The project, however; does have some parameters.

You may select one of the following:  You are going to build your own home, and subcontract out that build.

 You are going to start your own small business. What it is will be your choice.

For either project, you have a budget of $300,000, and a time frame of 9 months to either complete the house, or open the business. In each unit, you will now be supplied a template with required information (as well as example inputs) for your project. Your assignment is to complete these weekly inputs.

Your assignment this week is to create a Schedule Management Plan for your project that you selected.

Your final product will be a:  Schedule Management Plan

The requirements for your assignment are: 1. Complete a Schedule Management Plan using the template provided in Unit 6, and

load it in this week’s assignment link.

Students: Be sure to read the criteria and review the grading rubric on the next page, by which your paper/project will be evaluated, before you write, and again after you write.
