Write a Persuasive Memo
Persuasive Memo – INSTRUCTIONS
Think of an idea you would like to see implemented at your job (e.g., a way to
increase productivity, improve service, increase business, improve working
Conditions, etc.). Write a routine miscellaneous memo requesting action and
persuading your audience that your idea is worthwhile.

EVALUATION CRITERIA
The persuasive memo will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
1. The memo needs to be approximately 1-2 pages in length.
2. The memo must be delivered as a Microsoft Word document.
3. The writing demonstrates an awareness of purpose, audience, context, scope,
medium, tone, and style appropriate to the situation.
4. The writing is concise, well organized, proofread, polished, and professional.
5. Visually, the documents are professional and interesting.
