Assignment 1: Integumentary System PowerPoint Presentation (10 points)

For this assignment, students will select one of the diseases listed in the assignment link. This assignment will further enhance the students’ ability to distinguish between normal and abnormal physiologic responses to illness as well as identify the usual causes and clinical manifestations of disorders.

Topic: Herpes Zoster ( Shingles)

Develop a PowerPoint Presentation that addresses the following:

1. Define and describe the disease. 2. Discuss the epidemiological trends associated with the disease. 3. Identify and discuss the age related risk factors associated with the disease. 4. Describe the clinical manifestations. 5. Describe how the disease is diagnosed and treated. 6. The presentation should not exceed 10 slides (excluding title and reference slides). Be complete and concise. Use bullet points not complete statements or paragraphs on slides. PowerPoint resources can be found in the Canvas course modules. 7. Use APA format for the presentation which includes a title slide and a reference slide. APA resources can be found in the Canvas course modules. 8. A minimum of two scholarly references are required for this assignment. References should be from scholarly peer-reviewed journals and be less than five (5) years from the date of publication.
