10 page paper on Historical Variations of death
· Answer the following in the paper:
· How have these changes been reflected in art? These are some of the ways that we can understand how the wealth and intellectual classes were thinking.
· How have common death rituals, grieving, funeral services etc. changed over the years, and what do these changes tell us about how people thought about death in various historical periods?
· Don't just look for slow linear changes - keep your eyes peeled for shifts that might have occurred for a period of a decade or less and then reverted back, for example times around epidemics of deadly infectious diseases.
