Purpose

This assignment is intended to help you learn to do the following:

· Create an effective security policy to address an issue.

· Evaluate how leadership competencies affect policy implementation throughout an organization.

Overview

Write a 3-4 page APA formatted paper that addresses the following:

· Part A: Identify an organization of your choice and create a security policy that addresses a specific issue. Refer to  SANSLinks to an external site. for a list of security policy templates. Refer to  Chapter 6Links to an external site. , pgs. 143-149, in Fitzgerald (2016) for guidance on writing a good security policy.

· Part B: Select  3 of the 7 competencies of effective leadership listed in  Fig 3.2Links to an external site.  in Fitzgerald (2016). Implementation can be a big challenge for leadership. Review  Chapter 16, pg. 125 of  Navigating the Digital DivideLinks to an external site.  to see examples of implementation challenges. Evaluate how you would use these 3 competencies to implement this policy throughout the organization. Make sure to address how the competencies will help overcome the challenges.
