In this authentication, amazon uses an HTTP cookie which is nothing but a piece of content that a server stores when a user login to website first time. So on the second attempt when a user login to the same website the server send this information in cookie to the user’s web browser. This information contains login details of user. Browser may store this information and if same request is made to login on the same server then browser send this information. So it helps to keep user logged-in and saves this information so if in future more request came from same browser, it will be helpful to provide. However, there may be an expiration date or time limit which is use to restrict the cookie from sending .
