INTRODUCTION I. Attention Getting Statement – “Hook”:

One of my most favorite quotes of all time was first heard from a man named Steven Woodhull, who said, “You’ve got choices. If getting out of bed in the morning is a chore and you’re not smiling on a regular basis, try another choice”. II. Reveal Topic/Preview ofBody: Alternative therapy is a choice. It is a natural, diverse, flexible, and non-evasive approach to healthcare. Alternative therapy contains many paths and directions, making it flexible according to the needs of the individual. Although there are many, many techniques and methods connected to alternative therapy, I will attempt to introduce you to the three most popular; acupuncture, guided meditation, and aroma therapy.

III. Credibility Statement: As a chiropractic assistant and massage therapist, I am involved with two methods of alternative therapy.  I also have experience in other methods and techniques through volunteer opportunities in various fields.
