Amazon has provided the customers with one of the largest shopping platforms for magazines, books, videos, music, DVDs, software, apparel and accessories, electronics, computers, tools and hardware, jewelery, sporting goods among others. The company has had a succinct focus as well as a solitary mission since the time it was established. The founder of the company, Jeff Bezos, has on many occasions declared publicly the mission statement of the firm as the guiding force that is behind its leadership prowess and decisions. In other words, it is clear from the progress of Amazon.com that its success can be attributed to its unwavering commitment to pursuing its mission as well as the daily execution of it. The mission of Amazon is to become the most customer-centric company on earth and build place where individuals can visit and discover all sorts of things they wish to buy online (Gage, 2018).

Amazon has launched different products lines which include but not limited to Kindle e-readers, Echo and Fire tablets as well as Amazon Prime. The company has also created its own television show as well as movie exclusives, something that has enabled it to become one of the major media conglomerates in the world.

There are key features that set Amazon apart amidst its competitors. To start with is the use of the user-submitted reviews. It is important to underscore the fact that one of the major factors that are key to the success of any organization is the approach they take in addressing the customers’ tastes, preferences and demands. It is for this reason that firm encourages personal product reviews to enable it to understand the needs of the customer and make the necessary adjustments to suit those needs (Gage, 2018). For instance, after every engagement with the company, the customers are accorded a chance to submit their experiences in the form of pictures and videos. This is one of the things that make other customers to make informed decisions prior to making a purchasing decisions. On a monthly basis, Amazon was found to have more than 130 million visitors accessing their website (Gray, 2017). The customers of Amazon are both internal and external. In other words, the company’s operations are all over the world because its services are mainly obtained over the internet. The customer engages with the company by use of its online platform where they make inquiries and are directed on how to order for the goods, pay and have them delivered to their specific destinations.

The value I add to the organization is engaging in research to establish new ways of improving the customer experience. For instance, with the daily technological advancements, it is necessary that the company responds accordingly to protect it from being outshined by the competitors. Adhering to the market trends and the changing consumer preferences are the key drivers of the company’s success today.

Amazon respects diversity. This is why it is committed to hire brilliant minds from different ethnic, tribal and religious backgrounds. Therefore, Christianity is one of the major religions that are accorded great prominence by the company. It plays the fundamental role of spiritual nourishment while instilling moral values such as integrity, honesty and empathy among others amongs its employees. It has also helped the company realize a culture that respects and values God as well as His creations.
