Instructions/Details
In this section, we ask you to describe what your company's production (whether a service or product) will look like when you are up and running. Follow the explanations of the production processes as described in your text. We also ask you to identify the hierarchy of your organization, this includes explaining why you picked a particular way to departmentalize your organization, the style of decision making, how command down to worker is structured, and the span of control a manager will have. Follow the explanations of the organizational structure, as described in your text.
Create a MS PowerPoint with your answers to the items in Step 1 and 3 below. You are not an expert in your chosen industry so your answers should use external academic sources to support your decisions and statements. Include a separate slide for a list of 3-4 references used.

Step 1: Business Process
Use this template to create your Operations Plan Download Operations Plan.
Follow the instructions in the Creating a Business Process Flow.ppt Download Creating a Business Process Flow.ppt to diagram your company’s process for providing your product or service.
Describe how you are making your product (from raw materials to finished good) or providing your service (from initial customer contact to service provided). Identify all the tasks/steps your business and customer must do from the time the customer hears/finds your business until the final product/service is in their hand. Create a flow chart that illustrates your business process.
Restaurant business – customer receives a flyer in the mail, shows up at restaurant, is seated, order taken, food delivered, additional ordering, payment, clean table, etc.
Identify those processes you need to manage your product/service process. (Think of the standard business functions.)
Identify the different types of labor involved in each task/step of the process.
Don’t forget management!!!
