Subject: Exploring idea of larger work spaces for office expansion
Good Afternoon Everyone,
The company is leasing additional office space in the building adjacent to us. Voletta Williams
our facilities manager has asked me to gather information regarding your workspace so she and
our senior managers can create a space allocation plan that makes sense for our daily business
activities.
In the expansion 8 or 10 more private offices will be added for those with a valid business case.
Typically offices have been reserved for upper management, client account specialist, and
marketing leaders, who are often engaged in 1on 1 meetings with employees, or face to face
meetings with clients and privacy is needed. If you have a strong business case where an office
will improve your ability to work efficiently please present a detailed business case with your
request.
There will also be an increase in square footage to some of the cubicles, available to those with
valid business purposes. An example of a valid business case would include but is not limited to;
needing space for a personal file cabinet to keep sensitive information, you are involved in
researching documents and your current desk does not hold all of the information, you require
that your desk has dual monitors as you cross reference excel sheets and 2 computer screens
would help you be efficient.
Please keep in mind that space is limited and management will not be able to place everyone in a
private office or a larger cubicle, but will do their best to make sure everyone is properly
situated. Details are crucial and will assist Voletta in being an advocate for you. Please submit all
of your responses directly to me by end of business day Tuesday, July 31, 2018.
