We started the semester by learning about the concept of reflexivity in Chapter 1 of the CIA. Reflexivity is a way to help us better understand how we participate in social systems that may help or harm ourselves and others. As the semester progresses we discussed different actions we could take place in the community to make a difference via your group social issue projects. As you reflect on the role of culture in the reflexivity process, consider how you react to individuals who are culturally different than you. What are some ways you can be open to learning more about others’ cultural experiences AND what would you like others’ to learn from you.
