It makes sense that advertisers want to use the most efficient media they can so they can control their advertising costs. It should also make sense that media vehicles with larger audiences will usually charge more than vehicles with smaller audiences do. An experienced media planner or buyer may place extra weight or value on the costs of certain kinds of media or on certain kinds of media buys.

In-store media is a popular delivery method in grocery stores, big box stores, and even some chains like Target and WalMart. One strength often considered in the decision to utilize an in-store ad is the increased opportunity for impulse buying.
