The topic I decided to select for my Teaching Project is
Depression.
Depression is one of the common diseases that have
killed many people, especially older people. Therefore,
teaching about this topic will be very important to most of
the people as they will be able to understand what is it,
how they acquire, and how they can prevent it.
Depression is very common to the older adults and thus,
the community should assume it and treat it as a usual
way of ageing among the adults (National Institute on
Aging, 2017). Only a few people open up about this kind
of disease and discuss their health status and symptoms
with healthcare providers (Lyness, 2019).
This topic is also significant to the patients when they get
