Community engagement can mean educational partnerships with corporations, service learning, civic engagement, research, etc. You will research a specific community engagement project within your institution (or lack thereof and explain why it is needed), analyze demographic data, academic performance indicators, and stakeholder feedback to identify areas for improvement and opportunities for increased community engagement. This assignment will help you develop skills in data analysis, interpretation, and effective communication of findings to stakeholders.

a. Complete the Institution Needs Assessment section in the  provided template. Download provided template.

b. In 2 to 3 pages, write a detailed analysis for each category in the section:

· Data Collection:

· Gather demographic data, academic performance indicators, and/or feedback from stakeholders.

· Analyze the collected data to understand the current state of the institution and its relationship with the community.

· Priority Area: Identify areas for improvement and prioritize them based on data-driven analysis.

· Interpretation and Implications: Utilize data analysis techniques and interpretation strategies to derive key findings and implications for each priority area.

In this assignment, you will conduct a stakeholder analysis utilizing Epstein's model of six types of involvement or employing the human-centered design thinking process to elicit stakeholder feedback and analysis. You will identify key stakeholders associated with an educational institution or initiative and evaluate their interests, needs, potential contributions, and level of engagement. This assignment aims to enhance your ability to understand stakeholder dynamics, evaluate their impact and influence, and craft effective engagement strategies.

3. Develop a Stakeholder Analysis Report:

a. Complete the Institution Stakeholder Analysis section of the template you started in the Needs Assessment. Build upon your work as you progress through the course. 

b. In 2 to 3 pages, write a detailed analysis for each category in the section:

· Goal Details: Identify the goal, desired result, measurement, and length of process.

· Stakeholder Analysis:

· Complete the goal details section using information from previous worksheets.

· Identify potential stakeholders related to the educational institution or initiative.

· Assess the impact, influence, importance, contribution, obstacles, and engagement strategies for each stakeholder.

· Utilize Epstein's model of six types of involvement to categorize stakeholders and understand their roles and relationships. (K-12 Track)

· Utilize the human-centered design thinking process to elicit stakeholder feedback through interviews, focus groups, or observations. (Higher Education Track)

· Decision Making: Summarize the findings for each stakeholder category and propose a team based on the analysis.
