movie report
· Watch two documentary movies as listed below. Our library was able to provide us with streaming link for free for the first movie. Unfortunately, you need to pay for the second. I saw it's for rent at Amazon.com for $2, so hopefully you have easy access. If you have any difficulties, please feel free to let me know.
· Inside Job (2010) http://login.proxy.seattleu.edu/login?url=https://video.alexanderstreet.com/watch/inside-job?account_id=28598&usage_group_id=84083 (Links to an external site.)
· Money for Nothing (2015) https://www.amazon.com/Money-Nothing-Inside-Federal-Reserve/dp/B00S5E005S/ref=sr_1_2?crid=UH0VKBZ6QKWW&dchild=1&keywords=money+for+nothing+dvd&qid=1634786704&sr=8-2 (Links to an external site.)
· You may consolidate your writing on the two movies in a "hybrid" manner, or write in a more separated fashion (basically two reports, one on each movie). Either way is fine.
· The purpose of this assignment is to use the documentaries (on top of what we have learned in the classroom) to deepen your understanding of the housing market, mortgages, mortgage-backed securities, monetary policy, the Federal Reserve, and financial markets and institutions in general.
· To make make the most of these great documentaries, I highly recommend that you first read through Chapter 9 of our textbook. You can also scan through it and focus more on the topics that you find most interesting.
· Your Movie Review report should include the following information: o Summarize the issues the movies mainly present and discuss about (4 pt) o How you can relate the movies to topics covered in our course (4 pts) o Issues you would like to know more about or other topics you can associate and do more research on after watching the documentaries (2 pt)
· No matter you wrote in a "hybrid" manner or separate, please submit (upload) your report in one single file. Your review should be 4 to 8 pages long combined, and double-space typed.
