UNDERSTANDING THE CONTEXT OF THE PROBLEM

Modular Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this module, the student will be able to satisfy the following outcomes:

· Case

· Apply a global ecological model/framework to the understanding of the health problem addressed by the student’s integrative project.

· Apply the scholarly literature to the understanding of contextual factors influencing the health problem addressed by the student’s integrative project.

· SLP

· Continue constructing an annotated bibliography in APA format.

· Discussion

· Discuss how the scholarly literature has broadened the student’s understanding of the contextual factors relevant to the health problem addressed by his or her integrative project.

Module Overview

In this module, students will examine and reflect upon the sociocultural, geopolitical, and environmental contexts that contribute to the problem each has chosen to study/address. The specific deliverable for this module’s case assignment will be an essay that lays the foundation for the report, plan, etc., to be outlined, drafted, and finalized in forthcoming modules.

Module 1 Case

Please be sure to read the directions clearly – your introduction should address the topic of this paper. and you need headings as stated in the writing directions. You also need a concluding paragraph.

Here are links should you need a reminder on how to write either.

Be careful not to over use the pronoun “I”.  The papers do need to follow APA format so if you are unsure you can find the Owl link in the course.

Module 1 SLP.

You will be using the chosen health concern for all your SLP’s.  YOU must have an introductory paragraph for the annotated bibliography.

PLEASE follow this format for your SLP Headings for the annotations.

For Module 1.

Introductory Paragraph.

Then your annotated bibliography.

 For Module 2

Again, an introductory paragraph.

Add your new references headed Module 2

Keep module 1 bibliography and add a heading of module 1.

 For Module 3

Do the same and keep module 2 followed by module 1.

 For Module 4

Introduction

BUT now add your new references but this time you will combine them all into one long APA approved Alpha list.

One of the reasons I request you do a copy and paste of the assignment on your coversheet is for two reasons.

1. To help you create your headings.

2. To assure you do not forget any of the requirements.

If you have questions, please send me and email ASAP so you can earn a passing good grade the first time you submit your assignments.
