Module 4 - Case
Assessing SC Performance
Assignment Overview
SCM Globe offers a library of case studies that cover Commercial, Humanitarian, and Military supply chains. Select one case study from each category and provide an overview of each. It is not necessary to download the software that is included in the cases. Creating an account is not required to view case studies.
Case Assignment
Case Overviews
- Overview of commercial SC case (1/2 page)
- Overview of humanitarian SC case (1/2 page)
- Overview of military SC case (1/2 page)
Your overviews should focus on SCM themes and applications. This provides practice presenting information to professionals in the field.
Research Applications
Research supply chain performance criteria and technology using articles in Trident’s library and SC journals available online.
- What criterion are used to assess performance? (1 page)
- What technology is used to capture quantitative performance data in SCM? (1 page)
- How do these apply to the three cases studied? (1/2 page)
Since you are engaging in research, be sure to cite and reference the sources in APA format. NOTE: failure to use research with accompanying citations to support content will result in reduced scoring “Level 2-Developing” for Meets Assignment Requirements, Critical Thinking, Use of Sources and Mechanics on the grading rubric.
The paper should be written in third person; this means words like “I”, “we”, and “you” are not appropriate. Refer to yourself in third-person as “manager” or you can write about what the “project team” will do, rather than saying “I” and “we.”
