Minimize biases

Data analysis is about using information and knowledge to make decisions. Although it can be presumed that the data is objective, it is possible to skew results due to heuristic errors and biases.

Identify three biases that can influence the outcome of an analysis.

Explain what they are and how they arise.

Provide suggestions on how each bias can be minimized or overcome.

Develop a presentation of 15 to 20 slides (not counting the title and reference slides) using a minimum of four peer-reviewed sources. Include grammatically correct and APA cited speaker notes for each slide. Include a title slide and a reference slide. Format slides and speaker notes according to APA guidelines. (25% of the grade.)
