The purpose of this reflection journal is to consider what you acquired from the materials covered in weeks EIGHT , NINE AND TEN. In this 3-4 page paper (excluding cover page and reference page), you will also discuss the relevance of the materials to your professional experiences and personal lives. Finally, you will relate the materials to your semester long project, the Learning and Development Project. Using this document as your template, delete these directions as you compose your original content. This first section will be the introduction.

Your paper should be in APA format. For your convenience, this template is already properly formatted. Do not include a heading titled Introduction. Each page is numbered consecutively from the title page through the last page of the document. Your computer should handle the consecutive numbering automatically. To assist you with your references, some of the readings used in this course are listed in the References page. Delete any unused sample references (references you don’t cite in-text). Those sample references are provided simply for your APA guidance.

Reflection Journal IV

Acquired Knowledge

This is the section where you briefly summarize what you acquired from the materials. In this section, you might reflect on the additional skills you have gained in Learning and Development. Understanding the link between business goals and learning is critical. Being able to identify ways to drive change demonstrates a high-level skill. Evaluating AND communicating the impact of your learning and development initiative creates credibility. Credibility is also established when you understand the changed employee-employer relationship and broader environmental issues such as the global learning crisis, pandemics, and foreign affairs. How you develop these skills for yourself and for the leaders you work with is a critical strategic issue.

Research is a factor in this as well as all of the following sections. For each key point, make a connection to our assigned readings or other research. This demonstrates your ability to blend research with your personal experiences and opinion. You may also refer to contributions in our discussions with our learning community (our classmates!). Add paragraphs as needed.

APA provides for several different levels of headings. The use of headings can allow your readers to more easily follow your thoughts. The heading above is a first level heading. In the next section, examples of second level headings are provided.
