Answer:

1. Introductory Speech.

‘Assalam Alaikum Warahmatullah Wabarakatuh. The guest of honor Minister of Education, Dr. Hamad bin Mohammed Al-Sheikh, the Principal, teachers, parents, students, and all present, Good morning and welcome to the Advanced Step International School’s 25th Foundation Day. Foundation Day is a celebration where we mark and remember where the school started. And so I want to welcome you all and thank you for your time. I understand some of us may not know much about the school thus before I call upon the Guest of Honor I would like to give you a brief history of the school.

The school was first built in 1995 by the local government. There was a need for a school in Riyadh that was in a central position where all people could access it. The school first started with three classes and only 20 students in each class. Several 10 dedicated teachers switched between classes as they were not enough to handle the whole school and lessons. However, the local government had many other projects and the school did not perform well after a certain period and hence the school was bought by Ibn Rashid and his family where they became the sole owners with no partnerships. More teachers were added and classes expanded. After five years that is in 2000, the school had a total of 8 classes with enough teachers to teach.

There were also increased businesses and foreign investors in the area who were looking for better schools for their kids. The management saw this as a chance to expand their wings and hence took a chance with their syllabus and way of teaching. At first, the syllabus was the same as that of other schools in the country but then because of short term working contracts for most foreigners and a future view of globalization the school shifted to an international one. The risk paid off as many foreigners were not scared of their children's education being interrupted and the school became known in most countries.

The management has since then employed teachers from different regions of the country and countries as well. The aim of the diversity of teaching and non-teaching staff is to integrate different cultures into the learning environment as well as improve performance. Together with the students, the teachers have worked hard to ensure that the school achieves the best results. The main outcome of the international learning system has been that the students leave the school different people. This means that the students become international in their ways of life; they learn to understand and appreciate the different cultures of one another. They understand how they need to behave in a setting where people are diverse and these other than 99% positive performance in all levels of learning can be said to be our achievements as a school.

Now without further ado, I would like all of us to stand up and welcome the guest of honor with a warm welcome as he comes up on the podium to give us his remarks. Welcome Dr. Hamad bin Mohammed Al-Sheikh, the stage is yours. Thank you.’

2. Vote of Thanks
