Methodology

Examination the relationship of bronchitis symptoms to ambient.

Examining of element such as carbon, nitrogen dioxide and other gaseous pollutants in a cohort of asthmatic children in 12 communities in southern California.

The method used to gather the information was through use of questionnaire to assess the effect of organic pollutant with that chronic symptoms of bronchitis in asthmatic children.

The exposure to NO2 on the severity of asthma exacerbation was studies. Obtaining of nasal aspirates was a suggestive of any acute upper respiratory infection with the testing by RT-PCR for the presence of common respiratory viruses and atypical bacteria

Examining simultaneous effect of ozone and particular matter among the asthmatic children living in California.

On air pollution, patients were provided with a personal air pollution monitor which measures total oxidants in the ambient air.

The attached Cairclip measures daily average ambient level of NO2.

Electronic symptom diary and peak expiratory flow metre which was used to measure daily nitrogen dioxide.

The method provided the relationship between exposure and outcome variable which were then analyzed using cross-correlation.

Daily pollution were obtained from the Aerometric information Retrieval system.

Measuring the relationship between lung function and symptoms to fluctuations in pollutant concentrations.
