The lack of adequate shelter to cater to the adolescent community has become an underpinning problem in society. The purpose of respectfully requested grant funding is to address the development of a shelter facility for these groups.
It is no doubt that housing is a basic human need. Arguably adolescents aged between thirteen and eighteen years old face the lack of housing access for various reasons. Majorly there are either kicked out of their parental home or runway from home to escape abuse, neglect or family problems such as money, strict rules or grades(Forchuk et al., 2018). The problem is further worsened by hostile street situations ranging from murder, victimization and sexual assault. Collectively these circumstances necessitate the need to address the issue of housing for these groups.
Raikes foundation focuses on the welfare of the youth from their early childhood to their adult life. As such the Raikes foundation provides opportunities in a wide spectrum of capacities to empower youths. Moreover, its goal is to promote a healthy transition of teenagers to adults who can positively impact society (Raikes Foundation. 2019). As it stands, members of the adolescent community are facing various challenges particularly associated with housing. The project, therefore, intends to address the issue of housing and mental youths to ensure they become productive members of society. To elaborate one goal of the project is to mobilize a Centre that meets the various needs of these youth by pooling different services needed by these adolescents. Secondly, it is the goal of the project to support mentors and create awareness about youth homelessness as well as professionally support them. Thirdly the project hopes to successfully develop a youth Centre that can accommodate maximum numbers of these groups with maximum impact. One of the project objectives is to develop as well nurture a youth homeless shelter that meets their various needs ranging from education, health and social aspects. Secondly, training various members's mentors on how to identify and describe the main issues facing them in the community. Overall the project hopes to provide a sustainable not to mention stable Adolescents Centre that provides holistic services to these adolescents.
The core goal of the project is to provide all the necessary resources needed to fulfil the project goals and objectives. Furthermore, the agency is also looking forward to addressing the essential issues related to homelessness particularly among youths and young adults across the country. The proposed outcome to provide to get youths off the streets and provide them with a place they can call home. Besides eradicating the issue of homelessness in the community, through various programs youths and the community at large will be sensitized about LBGT to reduce criticism and distancing members of these communities (Belone et al., 2016).
The project is unique since unlike many projects with similar goals and objectives, the aspect of homelessness partnering strategy is a program that intends to promote and foster community to work together toward eliminating the issues of homelessness. To ensure the smooth running of the project, we are respectfully requesting a grant of $4,012,938.

I am pleased to submit a grant proposal with the title Youth Awareness for consideration under the Local Social Work Research Grant Program Raising Social Awareness as discussed with Program Officer Michael Brown.
The reasons for this grant funding request are:
As per many writers, there has been rampant homelessness among the youths (Wright, 2007). The core aim of the study is to reveal underlying issues in regard to youth homelessness. In addition, the study will voice the voices of homeless youths. Based on the setting of the study, homelessness youths who have had experiences in the towns of Tri-Cities will provide relevant information about the subject. In response, the information gathered will act as reparation to the youths.
This project is in conformity with the mission of NIH and Walden University. As you will notice in the application, Walden University’s Office of Research will be providing in-kind resources in the entire grant funding period.
