Budget Narrative and Sustainability Plan (I DON’T SEE SUSTAINABILITY ADDRESSED)

The project director will be required to work for at least 7 hours in a single day will translate to 35 hours in five working days of the week. At a pay rate of $257.14 per hour, this will translate to a total amount of $9000 before adding the requested amount of the fringe benefits, given the requested fringe benefits amount is $4000, the grand total amount requested will be $13,000. The main reason for spending the least working hours is due to the fact that most duties will be delegated to junior the staff.

Additionally, the project director will require one hour each day attending to contract matters. The project evaluator or will only need 1 hour everyday to evaluate the project which will translate to five hours a week. The hourly pay rate for this employee will be $800. What this means is that if this employee will work for 5 days in a week, he will end up earning $4,000 before adding the requested amount of the fringe benefits, given the requested fringe benefits amount is $2000. Adding the benefits amount to the requested amount will translate to $6,000.

All project coordinators will be required to work for at least 8 hours in a single day which will translate to 56 hours in five working days of the week. At a pay rate of $82.28 per hour, this will translate to a total amount of $5000 before adding the requested amount of the fringe benefits, given the requested fringe benefits amount is $3000, the grand total amount requested will be $8,000. The main role of the coordinators will be to control the schedule of the activities that they will be managing. What this means is that it will be also the role of the coordinators to plan.

The project secretary will be required to work for at least 8 hours in a single day which will translate to 56 hours in five working days of the week. At a pay rate of $53.57 per hour, this will translate to a total amount of $3000 before adding the requested amount of the fringe benefits, given the requested fringe benefits amount is $1000, the grand total amount requested will be $4000. The rate of paying the secretary will be the least for the reason that the effort output by this employee will not need advanced skills and knowledge.

The subtotal of the number of hours that the project employees will be required to work is 266 hours per week. The subtotal for the dollar amount of the requested salary is $31,000. What this figure means is that the average hourly pay will be $116.54. Given the fact that the fact that the subtotal of the requested amount for the fringe benefits is $16,000, this will translate to $47,000 as the grand total amount.

The subtotals hours for the Consultant Costs, Contracts, Staff Travel, Itemized Equipment, Supplies (itemize by category) and Other Expenses will be 34 hours per week while the dollar requested amount for salary will be $2,900. The subtotal for the amount requested for these items will be 41,400 translating to a grand total of $4,300. The rate of payment for these items will be lower than the normal one.

COMMENTS FROM THE TEACHER

Make sure to include specific support for your budget and how you arrived at numbers, cost, etc. in your final work (if you did not do so here). Your sustainability plan needs a little more work to support how your grant program will be continued.

When submitting your final project (putting all the part of the grant together), make sure your good information is supported by scholarly literature from course readings or Walden Library, going forward. In other words, demonstrate how the information you provide relates to the information you are finding in the course readings and other scholarly information about grants. Remember, every statement of fact that is not result of your own published research, should be cited with scholarly or other appropriate support. See APA Publication Manual or writing center for correct citation format if you are not sure. Check your work for grammatical errors and APA errors if you have been having trouble with these.

Also use your previous papers for other suggestions on improving scholarship.
