Good morning Professor and class!
I believe that statistics is the language of science because it is being scientific about problem-solving! I did some research to back up my belief. Science is the efficient and effective way of understanding the natural and social world to be more informed. Being statistically literate is the ability to understand and reason with statistics and data. It is important because the provision of accurate and authoritative statical information strengthens our society. Going back a few weeks with an example of statistics being used in the real world - diseases! It's good to know how many people out of X amount get a certain disease/infection! Regards,
