Intel’s Market dominance is due to its Intellectual assets, Non-disclosure agreements with its customers regarding chip design and manufacture, Less price-cost markups (AMD), Environmental sustainability, Supply chain sustainability, Diversity and inclusive work force, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) reporting, Capital Investment, competitive analysis, product life cycle.
Cliff Edwards said Intel would focus more on bringing together chips and software into so-called platforms designed to perform specific tasks, such as showing movies on home PCs or keeping corporate computers virus-free. Due to this idea at that time intel blow off the market by designing specific chip products which supports billions of PCs manufactured by Dell, Lenovo, Hp etc. Intel follows the concept of Moore’s Law, explore processing and packaging, diverse architecture, redefines memory and storage hierarchy, built-in security, and unified software are major factors make Intel to lead the market till date.
Hauser and Shugan (1983) examined defensive strategies of changing price, advertising expenditures, distribution expenditures or brand position in response to entry of competitors into markets. Intel take over lower-end chip product market with marking the price less than Samsung and AMD to overcome their competition. Intel’s demand and supply equilibrium, high brand equity, pricing, technology acceptance, Versatility in business sectors Client computing, Datacenters, Internet of Things (IoT) devices, Software services reflects its market share.
Al Dhaheri and Nobanee, (2019) stated to have a growing business we need to take the right financial sustainability decisions and take the term sustainability into our management decisions. Intel invests more on its energy conservation projects, water and waste management, made more resourceful and reduces cost effectively. Intel recycles most of its nonhazardous waste, returns the water to communities by sustainable water management these eco system concerns of Intel reflects its social responsibility. These sustainable measures increase its capital investment margin which helps in market growth.
