PEERS RESPONSE:

Hello class,

My long-term priority is the pursuit of happiness. I had been giving a lot of taught for my personal mission statement but my statement is very simple “live my life and be happy with myself” All my life I have been very competitive always wanting more looking at who has more than me and I always seeing my life very competitive and under a lot of stress, I think I have achieved a lot of great things but I also have had some great failures that have made me a better person. This past couple of years as Covid started, my way of thinking has taken a different approach and I had realized that I am blessed and all I need to do is accept myself for all my failures and achievements.

As far as my financial plan I have learned how to budget my money well. I have been unemployed for more than a year and took on a new role in my life as a day trader. I have been doing well and I do not think I might go to work for someone else anymore. I can say I have my financial life under control. I am asking myself; how much do I need to be happy, and it puts me back on my financial plan again.

As far as reading a book. I bought this book called “The Little Red Book of Sales” by Jeffrey Gitomer. I never read it and it had been stored for several years, I just started to read it. I want to improve myself as far as understanding the sales process a little more in depth.

A couple of weeks ago, as I started this course I embarked in a Keto regimen, I have lost a couple of pounds, it is very noticeable for just being four weeks. I feel very energized and motivated. I cannot keep doing Keto all my life since is only recommended for three to six months. That will be enough for me to lose the weight that I need to keep going and with my already exercise routine, I think I will keep the weigh off and the energy on. I do plan to join my kick boxing/Muay Thai team again and plan to spar again just to keep my motivation and my passion for both sports.

My life strategy or my plan is like I said in my mission statement ‘live my life” not somebody else’s. I know I am getting better at that.

I have been working on my attitude, on my finances, on my health and there is plenty of room for improvement.

I enjoyed this exercise it got my thoughts together and confirmed that I am working in changing my life. everything I wrote in this discussion is work in progress I already started implementing them all. Ever since my mom passed away last month, I have realized that life is short so might as well is better off to react and not just thinking about it. The way all this will be beneficial to me, is the fact that I will be happy which is part of my statement. Critical thinking has always been part of my life but after taking this course it has giving me a different spin for better.

I want to wish you Jarrod and all my classmates the best in the future on reaching your endeavors. I have had a bumpy road this past month like I mentioned with the passing of my mother. Overall I have enjoyed reading your discussions. This was a great class. I wish you all of you the best!!!!!!!!!
