GUIDELINES

TOPIC: Logical Framework on Domestic violence (Women Empowerment)

You can make estimates – check quickly online (or make a reasonable estimate) and enter what is the approximate costs of space, honoraria for elders. For the report you might just give the total budget. As funder is willing to give you $10,000 for your project (one-year project).

Remember to present your report in a professional way since it would be the basis for obtaining funding.

· Project Title : Domestic violence (Women Empowerment)

· Relevant articles (3 articles). Article reviewed

· Project Problem Tree

· Project Objective Tree

· Selecting Strategy

Provide on how to derive objectives, purpose, results, indicators, and assumptions/risks. Logic Models provide a foundation for planning a community project and have been used in major international development projects. Start by creating your tree and finding 3 relevant academic articles from journals/books addressing with your project.

· Your problem tree and your objectives tree (with a strategy indicated on the objectives tree diagram - a distinct border around what is included in your project) (2 pages)

· A logical framework with all sections completed – if you complete it by hand make sure it is printed neatly. (You could re-create your logic model matrix on your computer and fill in the sections if you like) (1 or 2 pages)

· A 2-page description (250 word/page) that will explain the project (2 pages)

The 2-page description of your project will present/ ”sell” your project to funders ( taking a professional approach in wording) . It will be based on your research (three articles) and explain key variables/ factors that influence the problem area (see your problem tree). Include the following:

· Project Description: brief overall view

· Rationale: why the project is significant and how you will address the issues that are raised in the 3 research articles that deal with the problem area. What is not part of your Strategy and why.

· Logic of the Project: Describe how Activities lead to Outputs to Immediate Outcomes to Ultimate Outcomes

· Indicators & Sources of Verification

· Risks & Assumptions: What are the challenges to your project? How do you plan for risks that could jeopardize the success of your project (2 or three sentences). In other words, what assumptions do you make about the conditions that will continue to provide a good environment for your project.
