Typing Poems
Typing the title:
Centre it
Put it in ALL CAPS
Leave 2 clear line spaces before the poem

Start each line with a capital letter
Consistently leave 1 or 2 clear lines between stanzas
Centre both horizontally and vertically if it is the only item on the page
Indent alternating lines that rhyme with 2 or 3 spaces
Blank verses (where no lines rhyme) or successive rhyming lines should be typed in block format
When there are too many words for one line, “hook in” the remaining words. Type them evenly with the last word of the preceding line.

Line up rightmost part of name with end of longest line in poem
Use a right tab stop
