Subject: Evaluating You-Attitudes in organizational Documents
Organizational communication is among the most essential elements in an organization and it emphasizes on you-attitude. In the organizational documents that the organization interacts on a daily basis pose a greater need in organizational development of the use of you attitudes.
The benefits that come with the use of you-attitudes include motivation of the reader, establishment of mutual trust between the writer or the organization and the reader, creation of good will in the firm and creation of favorable in situations which feel stiff.
Three examples can be highlighted in organizational documents that present the need for better methods of writing for which are highlighted below with the proposed revision that can better the organizational writings.
The first case is on an email sent to contractor who had been given a tender on artistic modeling.
Sentence: Thank you for sending your first draft of the model, we have reviewed your design and it is very interesting, its impressions are outstanding and we cannot wait to get the whole model.
Problem: The writer who basically represents the organization is concerned about the benefit rather than what the model creator receives in return.
Revision: Thank you for sending your first draft of the model design, it is very impressive, incase you need any help, the organization is more than willing to support you.
The second case was on a memo which was sent to all employee on 12th of March last year.
Sentence: All employees should avoid using gate terminal B. Using that gate poses security threat hence all should refrain from using the gate and use gate C which is to the front part and much safer.
Problem: The sentence uses imperative verbs such as avoid, refrain and use to give instructions which make the reader feel its like they can be spotlighted for using gate B.
Revision: Avoiding the use of gate B can be the best approach to reducing insecurity cases, hence everyone is reminded for safety purposes to use gate C.
The last case is on job description for a team that had been working in the warehouse
Sentence: The main objective of being assigned the role is to make sure you improve your competencies in maintenance capabilities. You are all expected to do your best in showing positive feedback to the organization.
Problem: The sentence feels to be directed personally on the faults of the reader which may even impact the outcome of the employees in delivering good results in their assigned work.
Revision: The objective for the assignment is to assist employees to develop competencies that improve organizational performance and training for future roles. The better the results presented the better the chanced for promotion.
In changing the strategy used in daily communication within the organization, it can motivate the employees and the organization can experience a great transformation and outcome for the grater benefit of both parties involved.

Dear Mathews
I am greatly humbled by the considerate position to oversee United Way campaign. I am grateful for acknowledging my abilities and potentials that enabled me to be suitable for the position. I am also grateful to be part of an organization that is determined to better its own employees through sufficient training and opportunities for career growth. I am happy to be part of the organization under your leadership.
I am afraid that I would have to turn down such an interesting position which comes a as promotion to focus on some upcoming position under my current level. As part of my professional strategy, career growth is granted the biggest regard which has enabled me to stay within the organization as it promotes all the qualities desired by an employee. The position of overseeing the United Way project would not offer room for growth and learning opportunities which would make me to become better in what I do. However, it would be just a piece of cake for me a situation that poses a great challenge to my career strategy.
The upcoming projects, for with I have been planning for them and expecting them eagerly will offer the best opportunity for growth as they will stretch my skills and competencies, teach me new skills and interact with many new people withing my line of profession which creates an opportunity to learn. For instance, the role of creating new videos for ‘town meeting’ in the next quarter will present a wide opportunity to interact with the new software which were procured in the last quarter and also help the new employees who have been practicing on using the software and plans have been made to implement it in the next quarter.
In the upcoming projects, I will also be entitled with generating an intranet for the organization which is a project that has been pending over the last two years awaiting the right resources to be implemented to make it effective. I have been on the frontline in advocating for its implementation and thus taking the new offer would compromise the position and implementation of the project in the organization.
In upcoming projects, it is expected on the next quarter, the diversity committee will be initiated and being a key advocator for the diversity committee I would like to take active participation in the sole goal of making it a success.
It is true that all the above-mentioned upcoming projects are so time consuming and require dedication to be full dedication though not as much as the dedication and time which is needed in running the United Way campaign.
It is for the mentioned reason that I do turn down the offer of running the United Way campaign. I am very grateful for considering me for the positing and for the continued support within the organization for the best interest of all employees. I am grateful for every opportunity to grow my career experience and look forward for other opportunities within the organization.

The field of Information Technology (IT) is the backbone of entirely all organizations which makes it a very crucial endeavor to explore its future and how it can be made very effective in organization operational activities. One of the trending business and organizational breakthrough in the last decade has been on emotional intelligence (EQ). Incorporation of emotional intelligence and information technology has a bright promising future. The discussion presents analysis of resources and current studies reflecting the use of EQ in information technology.
A study conducted by Hendon et al., (2017) indicated a great significant approach on the importance of incorporation of emotional intelligence in communication levels in Information technology majorly on the move by organization to require expertise with the ability to impact communication strategies merged with emotional intelligence. The study conducted was a quantitative non-experimental correlation which relied on information from 111 IT experts within the U.S. The outcome was that, there is a great significance between emotional intelligence and communication amplitude which makes a must have quality in team building.

The second article had been published in Forbes written by Moore in 2019 which also presents emotional intelligence as the future leader for organizations. The article presents an insightful knowledge on how organizations can implement emotional intelligence. It presents some adequate examples like how all companies have turned to EQ on aspects like hiring and promoting employees, attracting new talents and engaging performance and profitability within the organization.
Th article is very relevant within the context of IT as apart of an organization because first, it points out important elements that need to be implemented and looks for plans to leverage and see that organizations as well as departments are not left behind with the wave of transformation. The article haven been published in 2019 and having adequate knowledge presents it worth reviewing.
The third article published by Drigas, and Papoutsi, (2018) presents a detailed approach to on the steps needed in implementing emotional intelligence in an organization and the domain it touches in everyday life such as thinking, feeling, problem-solving, thinking and decision making using cognitive based approach of doing things and being alert. The article suggests nine layers of pyramid that can be used by an organization in development of step-by-step analysis to reaching the top level of Emotional intelligence.
The article is very useful in development of strategies that can be sued within the infrastructure of IT to boost organizational and departmental development of EQ and develop a realistic growth and development. The relevance of the article towards the organization and its date of publication makes it very useful in development of a good strategy within the organization.
A good research incorporates the use of reliable sources and the development of critical information that solves the problems with knowledge that has been reviewed of published within the last five years for credibility and accuracy due to the changing technology. The three material sources presents the richest source of information that boost the outcome of implementation of EQ in IT.
