Learning Activity #1

Jolly Jumpers is looking at pricing, promotion, product, and place.

Based on your present understanding of Iceland, what city would you suggest Josh choose to locate the business and why (Reykyjavik has 120,000 people and is the largest city). How would he promote the Park? What price might he charge? (perhaps looking at the cost of movie theatres or visiting parks, etc.)

Explain the challenges in completing a 4P analysis in another country.  Be sure to explain what is meant by a 4P analysis, its purpose, how it is conducted, and what considerations in conducting the analysis led to your conclusions.

 

Learning Activity #2

Josh needs a “brand” that would be intriguing in the local culture.  Should the Park be named Jolly Jumpers?  Using the class material and research suggest a brand for Josh. Explain what challenges and considerations about branding abroad factored into the decision and which factors are not as important and why
