It is a leadership theory that requires a leader in a company like Amazon to encourage, inspire, and motivate employees to participate in the transformation process of the organization.

It is a leadership theory that requires leaders in a company like Amazon to focus on gaining compliance by giving and withholding rewards and benefits.

Situational leadership theory is based on the relation between task behavior, listening, support, and value in a specific company like Amazon.

Transformational leadership theory is based on how a company like Amazon's leadership inspires its employees to go above and beyond their capabilities.

Transactional leadership theory is based on control, organization, and short-term planning of a company like Amazon.

Its main argument is that there is no single right way for a company to lead, just like how all Amazon employees are held accountable for their actions each day.

The main focus is on long-term goals, like how Amazon's main long-term goal is to meet every customer's need and want with a superior experience.

The main way to motivate followers is believed to be through rewards and punishment. Amazon company motivates employees by offering learning and growth opportunities, as well as a conducive working environment

The four main components are ideal influence, inspiring motivation, mental persuasion, and personal consideration.

The primary goal of followers is to adhere to leaders’ instructions.

Characteristics of leaders applying this theory include; openness to new thinking, talent for broadening minds, commitment to active listening, tolerance for intelligent risks, willingness to accept responsibility, trust in team members, and inspire others to participate.

Characteristics of leaders applying this theory include how they are focused on short-term goals, favor structured policies and procedures, thrive on following rules and doing things correctly, revel in efficiency, are very left-brained, tend to be inflexible, and opposed to change.
