The first graph analyzes the VO2 of each individual during their second bout of exercise and
compares the males with the females. The second bout of exercise was chosen because it marks
a time in the test where the VO2 hit its peak. This test did not focus on VO2 max so it was

important to see how high everyone's VO2 can reach during the test, which so happened to be
during the second bout of exercise. Table 1 categorizes the VO2 data collected during every
interval of time in the VO2 test. It is separated between males and females and lists the VO2
during the periods labeled as: VO2 (Rest-1), VO2 (Bout-1), VO2 (Recovery-1), VO2 (Rest-2),
VO2 (Bout-2), and VO2 (Recovery-2). For my hypothesis, I am looking at the difference of VO2
between males and females so I thought it was important to list the findings on VO2 for each
time period. Table 1 shows the mean and standard deviation of VO2 during each time period
because although it is important to see which sex can achieve a higher VO2, it´s also important to
see which sex maintains a higher VO2 through all periods of rest, recovery and exercise.
