to draw an isometric drawing, you need: 1-change snap setting to isometric snap 2-Orthomode should always on 3-press F5 to change dimension
Set up your isometric drawing in autoCAD:

Draw a square cylinder as shown

Draw a cross on the square face. These lines are used for reference. If you think these lines might confuse you, you can change the color to make a different.

Click on the arrow next to the ellipse function, choose Axis, End

In the command bar, click on isocircle. Or type “i”, and then space

Since the interception of the cross is the center of your square. Use it to draw a circle in isometric view.

Copy the circle to the back
AutoCAD Draw a line starting from the interception of the circle and the cross to the back of the circle until you see a green cursor called “Tangent” or “Quadrant” If you don’t see it, make sure you activate in your snap setting

Similar for the bottom line

Delete the extra line

You also want to delete this part. However, it is a complete isometric circle. You can’t delete part of it.

Therefore, you should use trim function

Trim the extra line from the isometric circle

Homework/In class assignment: Please draw a 1.5 unit dice(including the dot in the surface). The curve of the edge are 0.15 unit. And the radius of the dot are 0.13 unit
