Know Your Local Watershed

Description of the homework:

In this exercise, you will research the local watershed and prepare a written report with at least one graph describing the watershed and the local environmental issues surrounding it.

Outline of Investigation

1. Review the Fountain Creek Greenway ( http://fountain-crk.com/ ) websites to gather general data on the Fountain Creek Watershed.

2. Find a photo and description of the Fountain Creek Watershed.

3. Use the EPA and EPA Envirofacts websites to describe their watershed.

4. Produce a written report describing the watershed and the current environmental issues surrounding it, with at least one graph (for example, frequency of pollution sources shown in a pie chart).
